JERKWATER JUNCTION    

   Jerkwater Junction plays what former Byrd Gram Parsons used to call "cosmic American music." To define this "genre" (Jerkwater Junction hates that word...), simply add 1 part roots-rock, 2 parts twang, and a pinch of folk; mix, pour, serve and enjoy. Based in St. Louis, Jerkwater Junction plays its own songs (mostly...) to anyone who'll hear them. Those who do, receive a high-energy, highly-emotional earful of sheer sonic power that deeply echos the surrounding Midwestern landscape. The band, made up of singer/songwriter/guitarist Corey Saathoff of Highland, Ill.; lead guitarist Dave Collett of St. Louis, Mo.; bassist Wayne Way of St. Louis, Mo., and drummer Matt Payne of Kinmundy, Ill., has been entertaining crowds for more than two years.
